FAQ's

Do you charge for delivery? No delivery is free within Birmingham

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery? No you don't we will leave the order in as safe a place as possible, in a large bag to protect it from inclement weather, or you can designate a place, or we can leave it with a neighbour.

What payment methods can I use? The website has its own payment gateway, facilitated through one of the world's major payments companies, which is used daily by many major high street names and online retailers, we are also set up for you to use PayPal.

I think my order is wrong how do I get in touch? We do our best to get it right every time, we are though only human, so if anything does go wrong drop us an email or a text, & we will get to work to put things right for you.

Can I come to your business address and buy produce directly? We would love to say yes, but 1st and foremost we have to fulfil orders placed on our website, as our primary way of selling is by convenient delivery to your home.  In these times of Covid 19 we also need to ensure the safety of our staff and the public, so visits are not a service we are offering at the moment.

How will my order be packaged? We reuse the cardboard boxes that we receive the produce in to deliver your produce.  We use paper bags with none animal glues from a local company (supporting local suppliers).

Do you want the boxes back to reuse & is there an alternative? We are happy to have boxes back to reuse as long as they are clean and odour free (incense pet or food odours for example) some customers have two bags for life type bags with their names on in indelible ink, which we exchange upon each delivery.

Does my order become a recurring weekly delivery once I have placed one order? No you will need to place a new order every time.  Some customers have standing orders for a fixed box.

Are you plastic free? Vegetropolis does not add any plastic to your delivery, there are though certain items such as lettuce that are in plastic bags for reasons of maintaining freshness. Some growers have this year used biodegradable bags which is a great development.

How do I know the produce is Organic? We buy from a supplier that carries Soil Association certification, this means the supplier is audited yearly by the Soil Association, they are then able to use the organic accreditation once it has been confirmed they have sold only organic produce in the previous year.

Do you sell organic eggs meat or fish? Vegetropolis is a 100% vegan business, we are strongly committed to being a business with vegan ethics in response to large scale cruelty towards animals and damage to the global environment, we do not believe animal products being organic equals a lack of suffering for our fellow sentient beings.
